This
project is based on songs written by Friedrich Froebel, as
well as traditional songs that are accompanied by his suggestions
for classroom use. His 'Mother's Songs' are available online
but remain inaccessible, musically, for generalist teachers
who have difficulty reading staff notation. Some of the archived
songs have poorly printed sections that have become almost
illegible. With this in mind, student teachers in Froebel
College Dublin have started to digitise the songs in order
to present them in more useable formats. We explained our
research (see Abstract)
in a symposium
at the International
Froebel Society Conference in Dublin in April 2012
and intend to continue the work next year. We have a wiki
space in which we intend to make the full set of songs available
before June 2013. Here, in pdf format, are the songs that
we found in the Roehampton
